Tokyo Decoded is a bilingual editorial publication that translates emerging global trends for readers in Japan and abroad, connecting them with Japanese culture and context. Our goal is not to hype trends, but to give readers the material they need to decide for themselves whether a trend belongs in their life.
Sources and Fact-Checking
Statistics and research data cited in our articles are sourced from primary sources (original surveys, research institutions, public agencies) and attributed in the text. We do not publish figures we cannot verify. In beauty and health topics, we comply with Japan's Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Act by avoiding definitive efficacy claims and using neutral language.
Our Use of AI and Editorial Responsibility
We actively use AI tools in our research, translation, drafting, and image production workflows. However, every piece of published content passes through editorial fact-checking, editing, and approval, and final responsibility for all content rests with our editorial team.
